DIY Alternative Centerpiece

I kind of cringed as I typed DIY.  The latest trend in the wedding industry is DIY which although is possible, can cause tremendous stress on a bride as well as those she has convinced to help her set up and do the dreaded “tear down” on her wedding day.  The reason I am calling this post DIY is because I think DIY is possible for your reception if you stick with non floral centerpieces.  I created this table on a whim today after surfing through Pinterest.  Even though I put my own twist on what I saw, I do have to credit Centro Garden for the inspiration.   With all credit given, I have to say this table was easy to set up and it took about 20 minutes to create.  So, to my future brides and blog readers…. I WILL be supportive of your  DIY reception ambitions as long as you leave floral “arranging” and ceremony florals (bouquets, bouts, etc) to me!  :)  Deal??

DSC_0023The main inspiration I took from Centro Garden were adding the little rock crystals.  I love how raw it looks with the exposed wire.  And of course I had to use burlap since its my favorite thing to decorate with.
